Data Deletion
You have the right to request the complete deletion of your personal data from Dayla at any time. This page explains what we store, how to request deletion, and what happens after your request.

What data Dayla stores
Account data
Your email address, name, and password (hashed). Used to authenticate you and deliver the service.
Shopify store data
Orders, products, revenues, and COGS imported from your connected Shopify store. Synced via OAuth β we never store your Shopify admin password.
Ad platform data
Campaign spend, impressions, clicks, and conversions imported from Meta, Google, and TikTok via their official APIs. Stored to compute your real ROAS and P&L.
Supplier & COGS data
Invoice files and unit cost data you manually upload or connect. Used for profitability reconciliation.
Usage & analytics
Anonymised product usage events (page views, feature interactions) used to improve the platform. No personal identifiers are attached to these events.
How to request data deletion
You have three ways to request the deletion of your data:
From your dashboard (recommended)
Go to Settings β Account β Delete my account. Your data is scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email.
By email
Send a deletion request to contact@getdayla.com from the email address associated with your account. Include the subject line: "Data Deletion Request β [your email]". We will confirm receipt within 48 hours and process the request within 30 days.
Via Shopify (for store data)
Uninstalling the Dayla app from your Shopify admin triggers an automatic deletion webhook. All store-related data (orders, products, revenue) is removed from our servers within 48 hours of uninstallation, in compliance with Shopify's GDPR requirements.
What happens after your request
Your account is deactivated. You can no longer log in.
You receive a confirmation email with a deletion reference number.
All personal data, store data, and ad data is permanently deleted from our production database and backups.
Deletion is irreversible. Anonymised, aggregated metrics (no personal identifiers) may be retained for product analytics.
Export your data before deleting
Before requesting deletion, you can export all your data (orders, P&L history, ad performance, reports) as CSV from Settings β Export data. Once deletion is processed, recovery is not possible.
Legal basis
Your right to data deletion (right to erasure) is guaranteed under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Dayla processes your data on the legal basis of contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). All data is stored on EU-based infrastructure (Google BigQuery, EU region).
